June 2005 the Council of Ministers approved the Decision
Nr. 435, date 23.06.2005 "Confirmation of list for
equipments that use dissolved Ozone forbidden to be
fabricated and imported and methods and procedures
followed in order to replace this element from
equipments in use". During February - March 2006
they approved by specific laws the amendments of
Copenhagen, Paris, London and Montreal, as part of
Montreal Protocol. Albania is implementing some projects
with the assistance of the implementing agencies like UNEP
and UNIDO aiming to complete the tasks of Montreal
Protocol.

The projects are as follow:

The purpose of regional training for the best cooling practices is to raise the achievement of professional
capacities on the exchange of regional experiences as a vital length of NOPIU and the main task reduction of
new quotes of LHO, division of cooling and conditioning systems.It is the ground for the implementation of a
good maintenance procedure for cooling system and application of rules and practices to prevent the flow of
elements that harm the Ozone Core. The Polytechnic University of Tirana and the Department of Energy
provide intellectual and other instruments to organize training courses and guarantee the sustainable
development of project.The main task of this project is reduction of use of new LHO quantities for units
of cooling and conditioning system. The project expectation was the reduction of CFc-12
consumption from 2002, until the prevention of leakage, establishment of a system for cleaning process.
This project is completed, beside the equipments and technicians expected to arrive.
On the framework of this project is composed the booklet titled "Manual for Implementation of the Code for
better practices"

For this project arrived training equipments and are in delivery process. For refrigerant technicians have an information brochure.
