June 2005 the Council of Ministers approved the Decision
Nr. 435, date 23.06.2005 "Confirmation of list for
equipments that use dissolved Ozone forbidden to be
fabricated and imported and methods and procedures
followed in order to replace this element from
equipments in use". During February - March 2006
they approved by specific laws the amendments of
Copenhagen, Paris, London and Montreal, as part of
Montreal Protocol. Albania is implementing some projects
with the assistance of the implementing agencies like UNEP
and UNIDO aiming to complete the tasks of Montreal
Protocol.

The projects are as follow:

The project is very important for NOPIU - for the
implementation of all other approved projects and
also amelioration of monitoring process to equipments
that contain or use LHO elements.
The aim to this project is to strengthen the regional
capacities in order to check the imports of LHO and also
equipments that use or contain it through inspections
not only in Customs posts but also by regional environmental inspectors.
