General Information
The Albania ratified documents of Convention of Vienna
and the Protocol of Montreal on 8 October 1999,
commencing the 7 of January 2000 is a partner to them.
The partnership of the Ozone Convention comes up the
obligation of Albania to give a briefing report for the
consumption per year of the elements that cause dilute
of Ozone and also the application of based quotes from
the Montreal Protocol. Beginning 2001 Albania has the
National Plan for Ozone including also the National Plan
for elimination of use of elements that dilute the Ozone
cover. National Plan has been drafted from the Ministry
of environment with the assistance of Implementing
Agencies, UNEP, and UNIDO. A national Ozone Unit has
been established to compile the National Plan and related
activities - National Ozone Project Implementation Unit
Training of technicians with the best cooling practices
The purpose of regional trainings was
advancement of professional capacities exchanged to
regional experiences as a vital part of NOPIU and the main
issue was reduction of use of quantity of LHO for cooler and
conditioning systems.

collected and reported to the Montreal protocol.
However there are 17 customers' posts the inspection i
s centralized. There is a laboratory in Tirana that checks
all the imported products entering Albania. The main
task is to identify LHO elements
